Market Analysis

Q4 continued the rally the wine market has achieved throughout 2009. The market actually achieved its highest point in November and then tapered off slightly in December. All told, there were thirty-four auctions hosted by the houses we track, including an inaugural auction from Spectrum Group International, a leading auctioneer in numismatics, philately and militaria. The US played host to nineteen of these events; Europe was the site of nine; and the remaining six were in Hong Kong and Beijing.
