Market Analysis

Q2 2010 presented mixed results in the live auction market. Last quarter, I intimated that two indices might surpass their all-time high. I was wrong: three indices eclipsed their previous records in Q2! Our First Growth Bordeaux Index, our DRC Index, and our WMJ Top500 Broad Market Index all reached new highs. While the wine world clamored for the most collectible Burgundies and Bordeaux, it seems to have come at the expense of California Cult Wines and Vintage Ports, which both took modest tumbles.
